Place cards are common for wedding receptions. The place cards tell people where they should sit and let you separate guests who may not get along or better yet put together people you think might make a good connection. This is beneficial since it will add a good vibe to your event.

Think about what your theme is and relate it to your cards. Keep in mind that place cards are small and don't have a large amount of room for you to place lots of information on it. It is ok to add a love note or poem to it, this is not necessary but is often a great place for the couple to share a love quote they enjoy.

The guests name is printed on the place card and the table number, place all of them at a table located at the entrance of the reception location. Traditionally the place cards should be written with Mr., Ms., and Miss. Informal wedding receptions may do away with the titles.
